This is literally a rambling. there is no rhyme or reason. It may turn into a conversation Wednesday though. There is so much information and misinformation out there about seeds.. They really are the first step to a quality grow. Knowing what you’re buying and the best way to produce the best crop is so important.
My new least favorite things in so many local smoke shops is the amount of seeds available. Previously, I would always complain about the Kratom taking over. Most people who tent grow, have an outdoor set up or hydroponics usually have a steady distribution system. We have companies that we tend to know in-depth and deal with almost exclusively. We know that these companies are amazing to work with and have the most consistent seedlings.
Most of these companies have a process to keep their seeds as optimally as they can. For those who may not know, seeds being kept longer than a year should be kept in a cold, dark area for up to 3ish months; Then fridge/freezer depending on how long. They should be kept from light in dark packaging.
Most of the stores that have these seeds broadcasted are doing so in the cabinet facing the front windows. You do not know how old the seeds are nor do you know how they are kept up to and including being in the case.
So why am I annoyed? People can do what they want with their own money. ABSOLUTELY. Their grow their problem.

At $50 a pop at some shops, that’s a lot of money for a subpar seed. I can’t blame people though.. I would want to make money too but it feels so weird. Why can’t we do better and offer proper storage and better education if that’s something you are going to carry.
Have someone set up a tent. We show what’s really needed for the best yield. Let’s face it, you could get it to germinate and throw it outside and get something. You can throw it outside, give it some love and grow way more. We need to have more people available to actively educate as someone is starting to think about buying that first seed.
Tomorrow will end up being a busy day. I need what E and I call Stoney Bologna Days. Thats the day where you only wear comfortable pj pants, over sized tees, smoke the best pot and just relax.
